Yes, DROPS yarn is suitable for baby clothes. Most ranges have Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 certification, making them suitable for direct contact with children’s skin. For summer, choose combed Egyptian cotton (breathable and hypoallergenic); for winter, choose superfine merino or superfine alpaca (non-itchy). Yes. For DROPS yarns, free delivery applies from €59 on orders to Mainland Spain and the Balearic Islands, and from €79 to Mainland Portugal. Orders are dispatched within 24 hours from our logistics centre in Alcalá de Henares (Madrid). For orders below these amounts, the cost is calculated according to weight and destination. Local collection by prior appointment is also available.

They are all breathable, machine washable on a delicate programme, and most have Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 certification. As a cotton-free alternative, superfine merino does not itch, even on delicate skin.

The warmest DROPS yarn for winter depends on the project. For hard-wearing coats and jackets, 100% virgin wool yarns (50 g = 70 m) offer the most warmth. For lightweight jumpers and scarves, blends with superfine alpaca and polyamide (50 g = 150 m) provide warmth with less weight. For shawls and airy garments, choose mohair with silk. All offer good thermal capacity and different yarn weights.
