Shipping policy

1) Scope and general terms

Shipping costs include handling and packing. The shipping cost varies depending on the total value and/or volume of the order, the delivery address and the delivery time you select during checkout; you can check it below and during the purchase process.

We recommend grouping all items into a single order. It is not possible to combine different orders once they have been confirmed; shipping costs are applied individually to each order.

Specific delivery time slots cannot be guaranteed. The courier companies organise their routes according to demand in order to optimise journeys.

Garmon Yarns will carefully protect all items so that your order reaches you in perfect condition.

For the purposes of this policy, working day means Monday to Friday, excluding Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. Orders placed at the weekend are processed between the following Monday and Tuesday, depending on the volume of orders.

2) Special dates and seasonal peaks

At Christmas, in summer, on long weekends and on other key dates, processing and delivery times may be affected. Both the courier companies and we do our best to minimise the impact, but this is not always possible. We appreciate your patience.

If you plan to shop during periods that may be affected by delays, we recommend placing your order in advance. Please bear in mind that shipments that coincide with national or local public holidays, extra holidays agreed in courier companies’ labour agreements or holiday periods may be delayed. Example: Correos Spain treats 24 and 31 December as holidays.

In addition, on special dates, the shipping rates shown on this page may be subject to change. Carriers may add surcharges to their rates due to high demand and limited availability. The final prices for each carrier will be shown during checkout and you will be able to choose the most cost-effective option for your shipment before you buy.

3) Order processing and dispatch frequency

We dispatch once a day on working days, with deliveries from Monday to Friday.

Correos.

  • For orders placed Monday to Friday with Correos as the carrier, and submitted before 14:00: they are prepared and handed over to Correos the same day (depending on the volume of orders received), and the order leaves for its destination the following day. Correos starts its transit process in the mornings.
  • Orders placed Monday to Friday after 14:00, as well as on Saturdays and Sundays, are processed on the next working day.

Zeleris, Correos Express, Seur, Fedex, Inpost, DHL, UPS.

  • For orders placed Monday to Friday before 12:00: they are prepared and handed over to the carrier the same day (depending on the volume of orders received), and the order leaves for its destination on the same day it is handed over.
  • Orders placed Monday to Friday after 12:00, as well as on Saturdays and Sundays, are processed on the next working day.

4) Carriers, methods and lead times

Shipments are made via different logistics companies (for example, Correos, Correos Express, Zeleris, Seur, InPost, DHL, UPS, FedEx). The best option available at the time of your order will be selected. If you prefer one of these companies, you will be able to select it during checkout and see the exact cost for that option. We offer the lowest rates that each transport company offers us.

The delivery time from the shipping date (when the parcel leaves our warehouse) is indicated for each carrier during checkout and is calculated in working days (Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays). These delivery times are the estimates provided by each carrier.

All courier shipments include a tracking number and are delivered against signature.

Most carriers make two (2) delivery attempts, except SEUR, which makes only one (1). If you are not at home, the parcel will be left at one of their collection points for you to pick it up. Depending on the carrier, the parcel will be available at the reference office or collection point for between seven (7) and fifteen (15) days, after which it will be returned to us. If this happens, we will cancel the order and refund the amounts paid, except for the shipping costs and the costs arising from the return of the parcel.

We reserve the right to change the transport company without prior notice for the benefit of the customer (due to delivery times or price).

5) Order cancellation

We reserve the right to cancel the order if, due to human or technical error, the address entered is incorrect or does not appear in the carriers’ shipping tables. In such cases, we will contact you to clarify and resolve the issue.

We reserve the right to cancel the order if you have placed 4 or more orders in less than 24 hours, as an anti-fraud measure. We will contact you to clarify this situation and confirm whether the orders are legitimate.

6) Shipping or collection conditions

Garmon Yarns delivers orders according to destination, with several options available and according to the method selected by the customer.

  • Customs: Garmon Yarns will not, under any circumstances, cover customs clearance fees.
  • Areas with no visible rate: If no shipping costs appear for your area or country during checkout, please contact us.
  • PO boxes: Deliveries are not made to PO boxes.
  • Orders in preparation: Once the order is in preparation, with the shipping label issued and the box sealed, it can no longer be cancelled.
  • Start of delivery time: The delivery process begins once the order has been notified to the carrier and the carrier collected it from our premises or we have dropped it off at one of their collection points. From that moment, the estimated delivery times provided by the carrier start to count.
  • Delivery against signature: All deliveries are made against the signature of the addressee or an authorised person.

7) Address, delivery attempts and issues

Please ensure that the delivery address and contact details are correct. The carrier will make between 1 and 2 delivery attempts, depending on the carrier selected when you placed your order. If the parcel still cannot be delivered, any additional costs for returning the goods or sending them out again will be borne by the customer.

Return shipping costs due to address errors that prevent delivery will be borne by the customer, unless the error is ours in the labelling, in which case Garmon Yarns will cover all redelivery costs to the correct address. Garmon Yarns will manage the shipment with whichever carrier it considers appropriate.

8) Delivery times: accuracy, stock and issues

Garmon Yarns makes every effort to ensure that the information on this page is correct and up to date. Delivery times depend on the shipping method selected by the customer and are indicated here and during the purchase process.

  • Regular stock: Barring occasional issues, orders are handed over to the carrier on the same day as the order or the next working day, depending on the time of purchase.
  • Temporary lack of stock: If any item is temporarily out of stock, we will inform you of the estimated restocking date so that you can choose whether to wait or cancel the order.
  • Service commitment: We work with a multi-carrier system to offer low-cost options and a high delivery success rate. If any issue arises, we will inform you and offer alternatives where available.

9) Orders with several items and stock shortages

For orders containing several items, a single shipment will be made, aligned with the delivery time of the item with the longest delivery time.

If any item cannot be supplied due to a stock shortage, we will offer another item with similar features or a refund of its value.

Garmon Yarns strives to meet the stated delivery times as accurately as possible. Any penalty clause for delay introduced by the customer has no effect in relation to these terms of sale.

10) Effective delivery

Delivery is considered completed when the product is made available to the customer (or an authorised person) by the carrier and the recipient signs for it.

11) Checking the condition of the parcel and goods

It is the recipient’s responsibility to check the products when the order is delivered. You must check that everything is in good condition. If any product has been damaged in transit, you must notify us within a maximum of 72 hours after delivery. After this period, it will no longer be possible to submit a claim to the carrier for damage in transit. If the parcel shows signs of impact or damage, you must note this before signing for the delivery, indicating it on the carrier’s delivery note. 

It is essential that, when you receive the parcel and sign the delivery receipt, you write “pendiente de revisar daños ocultos” (“pending inspection for hidden damage”) if you suspect the goods may be damaged, as otherwise the carrier will decline responsibility for any possible damage to the goods.

12) Free shipping

We offer free shipping for some shipping zones and for orders over certain amounts depending on the shipping zone.

  • Mainland Spain: Free shipping for orders over €60 (VAT included).
  • Balearic Islands and mainland Portugal: Free shipping for orders over €80 (VAT included).
  • Alcalá de Henares: Free shipping for orders over €25 (VAT included) (only for addresses within a 7 km radius of our order preparation premises).
  • Alcalá de Henares: Free shop collection for orders over €20 (VAT included).

The free shipping method will be the lowest-priced option among all the carriers we work with; in this case, you cannot choose the shipping method. In general, this will be for collection of the parcel from an InPost locker or from a Correos office, depending on availability and price in your shipping area. We reserve the right to select the carrier offering the best conditions at any given time. If you need to receive your order quickly, you can choose to pay for express shipping by selecting another shipping method during checkout.

13) Shop collection (Alcalá de Henares)

When you place an order and select shop collection, you must wait for us to confirm that your order is ready to be collected. Please do not come to our premises unless we have told you that it is ready. Collection times may vary depending on our availability, but we will try to adapt to yours. Please note that we do not have a shop open to the public; these are our premises where we prepare orders and dispatch shipments. Opening hours may vary according to our availability. 

Shop collections do not incur handling fees or shipping costs. They are completely free. The order is not handed over in a box, but in a standard shop bag in order to save costs and offer you free collection.

The parcel must be collected by the owner of the customer account, who must show their ID before we hand over the order. If, for any reason, you cannot come in person to collect the order, you may send another person authorised by you. When we let you know that your order is ready to collect, you can reply to that email stating the name and ID number of the person who will collect the parcel. If you have not provided the details of an authorised person, the parcel will only be handed over to the owner of the customer account who placed the order.

IMPORTANT:

  • Changes to opening hours: Opening hours may vary when they coincide with Saturdays or public holidays (national holidays, Madrid Region and Alcalá de Henares), days before public holidays, long weekends and staff rest periods (holidays). The shop cannot be held responsible for failed collection attempts if the premises are closed, outside normal or special opening hours. Remember that we will let you know when you can come to collect your order.
  • Abandoned orders: We will keep your order for 1 month so that you can collect it, but if after one month you have not collected it, we will consider that you have renounced your order and it will be treated as abandoned. In that case, you lose any rights to the goods, with no option for future collection, exchange and/or refunds due to the storage and custody costs incurred during the reservation period.
    If, for an important reason, you cannot collect your order within this period, you can either send someone authorised by you, informing us in advance who will collect the order, or ask us to extend the custody period for the order, which may not exceed an additional 15 days. The space we have available does not allow us to store orders indefinitely.

14) Local delivery in Alcalá de Henares

If you live in Alcalá de Henares and are within a maximum radius of 2 km from our order preparation premises, you can choose free home delivery. With this method there are no shipping, packing or handling costs. It is completely free. As with shop collection, orders are not delivered in a box but in a standard shop bag to save packing costs and enable us to offer free delivery.

With this delivery method, we make only one delivery attempt. If, when we come to your address, no one is there to receive the parcel, you will need to come to our premises at Paseo de la Alameda 21 to collect it.

Normal delivery time is in the morning, from 10:00 to 13:00. When placing your order, you can indicate the time range when you are at home and we will try to deliver within that time slot. If your availability is outside our usual hours, we cannot guarantee delivery when you are available; in such cases, we will inform you and let you know on which other day we can deliver at that time. Our schedule may vary depending on our availability, which in turn depends on the volume of orders we need to prepare each day.

15) Minimum order

  • Shop collection: For purchases with shop collection, a minimum order of €15 (VAT included) is required.
  • Local delivery in Alcalá de Henares: For purchases with free local delivery in Alcalá de Henares, the minimum order is €25 (VAT included).
  • Standard shipments: For any other order sent to a home address, post office or collection point, there is no minimum order amount. You decide what you want to buy.
