Each Scheepjes Stone Washed Colour Pack includes a selection of 10 balls of 25 grams each, all in the Stone Washed yarn — renowned for its unique heathered look and soft, slightly fuzzy texture.

There are currently 4 different variants, each thoughtfully curated with a unique colour palette to suit a range of styles, projects and preferences. These packs do not repeat colours, so if you collect multiple packs, you can expand your palette without overlaps.

This format is ideal for working with multiple shades in manageable amounts, making it perfect for large colourful designs or smaller pieces that require a wide tonal variety.

The Stone Washed yarn is composed of 78% cotton and 22% premium acrylic microfibre. This balanced blend of natural and synthetic fibres offers the best of both worlds:

• 🧶 Cotton (78%): provides softness, breathability, freshness and excellent stitch definition. Ideal for garments worn close to the skin, in both warm and temperate climates.
• 🧵 Premium acrylic (22%), in microfibre form, wraps around the cotton core, adding a gentle halo, structural resilience, durability, dimensional stability, and increased resistance to pilling and wear.

The result is a yarn that looks like natural fibre, feels soft to the touch, but benefits from modern yarn technology.

This pack is designed for a wide variety of projects requiring a rich and varied colour palette in small amounts. It’s perfect for:

Scheepjes recommends using needles or hooks between 3.0 mm and 3.5 mm, though this may vary depending on your desired outcome:

• ▷ 3.0 mm needles/hooks: tighter fabric, great for amigurumi, bags, or projects needing structure and less stretch.
• ▷ 3.5 mm: looser fabric with more drape — ideal for shawls, scarves or lightweight blankets.
• ▷ You can even use 4.0 mm for a more airy effect, though this will affect gauge and yarn consumption.

👉 It’s always a good idea to make a tension swatch first, especially if your project requires specific measurements.

Each 25 g ball has approximately 62.5 metres of yarn, giving a total of 625 metres per pack.

• ▷ A small to medium amigurumi typically needs 30 to 80 metres per colour, depending on the size.
• ▷ A simple scarf (knit or crochet) can be made with 2 combined packs, creating pieces between 1.5 to 2 metres long.
• ▷ A basic triangular shawl may require 500 to 800 metres, depending on pattern and size.
• ▷ A baby-sized granny square blanket can usually be completed with 2 to 3 packs, depending on design and square size.

This is a low-maintenance yarn. Garments made with Stone Washed can be machine washed on a delicate cycle at max 30 °C using mild detergent.

• ❌ Tumble drying is not recommended as it may affect the fibre structure and shorten garment life.
• ✅ Lay flat to dry to avoid stretching or distortion.
• ✅ Ironing is usually unnecessary, but if needed, use a low setting with a protective cloth.
