What is YarnArt Symphony and what makes it different?

Symphony is an 80% cotton and 20% viscose DK yarn, sold in 50 g balls with approximately 125 m per ball. Its distinctive feature lies in the strand itself: matt and shiny sections alternate throughout the ball, with two different textures. The result is a single-colour fabric with both texture and sheen.

The matt sections are made from a multi-ply twisted strand, like a classic yarn. Between them are flat, ribbon-like sections with a glossy finish and a different feel. What needle size and tension are recommended for Symphony?

The label recommends 4 mm knitting needles and a 4 mm crochet hook. With these sizes, the 10 × 10 cm tension is 22 stitches and 28 rows for knitting, and 17 stitches and 19 rows for crochet. These are typical figures for this yarn weight, which is medium and very comfortable for summer garments.
